A Pep Talk from Kid President to You

I watched this video the other day and loved it!!! If you need some great inspiration and a few laughs here is a good video for you. This kid is adorable.

I'm currently working on some new designs I'm pretty excited about. I've been inspired by solids and using them in contemporary designs to create some new looks. So keep watching the blog for up coming projects.

New Patterns Debut at Spring Quilt Market

I was very excited to preview all the new patterns I have coming out to store owners at Spring International Quilt Market in Portland, Oregon in May. It was fun to see all the new fabrics coming out in the next few months and all the creative booth designs. Portland was especially fun because I was able to see my aunt and her family while I was there as well. We went to a huge Christmas store called Sleighbells Gift Shop. If you are ever in the Portland area it is a must see!

Here are a few pictures of my booth at Quilt Market! All the fabric featured is my first fabric line with RJR Fabrics called: Adventures.

Adventures will hit the stores in September so be on the look out for it!

 

This quilt is called Brooklyn. The cover for this pattern features this colorway and also a purple version. Both versions are available in a kit from RJR Fabrics.

 

The quilt on the left is called Letters. Letters design was inspired by the letters written back and forth during World Wars I & II. The quilt on the right is called Aero Plane. Aero Plane will propel any nursery into a wonderful adventure of flight for any young aviator.

 

These two pictures are a new pattern called: Wishing Tree & Signature Quilt. This pattern was a big hit at Market! The Signature Quilt pattern includes the words: Just Married, Baby on Board, Happy Anniversary and Best Wishes. So the quilt can be used for many occasions to mark a special event.

Use my label print or instructions are included to create your own labels for a DIY Wishing Tree. The wishing tree can be used for many different types of events such as weddings, anniversary parties or baby showers. You can then use the wishing labels after the event to hang on a Christmas tree to remember these fun occasions. Great for a first Christmas after a wedding or a baby's first Christmas tree.

 

Two more patterns that debuted at Market are the Suitcase Pot Holder (right) and Passport Wallet (left).

Adventures Fabric Line

I'm very excited to have my first fabric line debuting this fall with RJR Fabrics. It is currently available for order from RJR Fabrics. It will be available starting in September. Here is a sneak peak of the fabric. Enjoy!



Atlanta & Lakeland Quilt Shows

  I have been busy with 2 quilt shows in Atlanta, Georgia and Lakeland, Florida. Both shows were really busy and fun! I was able to meet lots of great people and the patterns went over really well with everyone at the shows.

 

  We were able to have a couple of days off between shows and made it to the beach in Clearwater, Florida. The sun came out just as we stepped out onto the beach and were able to take a few good pictures from a pier.

 

  Found this adorable little friend on the pier and had to take a picture! 

 

  I'm ready to get home and finish my new patterns for Quilt Market. I have my first fabric line with RJR Fabrics debuting at Quilt Market in Portland, Oregon in May. The line is called Adventures so watch for it soon!
